I am a scientist from Portland, Oregon. I have over 15 years of experience in research and evaluation.

I have a doctorate in public health and a master’s degree in physics. I'm good at math but not ruled by numbers. I use data to simplify complex issues and paint the big picture.

My research helped raise Oregon’s minimum wage and expand paid sick leave, and supports advocates for better schools and public services.

I have designed and conducted evaluations of community programs, anti-smoking media campaigns, and the impact of policies like smoke-free housing.

I pioneered methods to track obesity using driver license data. My work on tobacco tax evasion led to an editorial in the New York Times and a congressional hearing.

I want to help good organizations do good in the world. Please let me know how I can help you.
